CCIL produces carbon black as the primary product and from waste process energy recovery steam and electric power are produced as the secondary product.

CCIL has been supplying steam to a number of industrial units in its vicinity for many years now. CCIL has recently commissioned a high efficiency 15 MW Waste Heat Recovery Power Plant(WHRPP) at Ghaziabad. The WHRPP genrates power partly for CCIL's own captive use and the balance is exported to the Uttar Pradesh state grid.CCIL recognizes that carbon black manufacturing technology is based on the combustion of fossil fuels. However ,we are doing our bit by recovering as much process energy as possible which would otherwise have gone waste.

Recently,we commissioned the highest temperature Air Pre-heaters in the industry to further cut back on feedstock consumption.For us energy conservation and environment protection are two sides of the same coin.
