Continental Carbon India Limited (CCIL) was formed in October 2000 upon the acquisition by Continental Carbon Company (CCC), USA of the carbon black assets of Oriental Carbon & Chemicals Ltd. Since then the carbon black manufacturing facility in Ghaziabad, in the state of Uttar Pradesh, has been substantially refurbished and production capacity doubled to 65,000 MT/ Annum. A new 15 MW Waste Heat Recovery Power Plant is co-located with the manufacturing unit.

CCC, which is recognized as a leader in the development and manufacture of furnace grade carbon blacks for tires and other applications, has licensed technology to CCIL.

CCIL has received a steady flow of capital over the years and is now a subsidiary of CCC’s parent, CSRC a Taiwan based listed company.

In the next 5 years CCIL is set to grow organically and in areas of acquired expertise. We intend to grow much faster than average Industry growth rates by pursuing a four pronged strategy.
